I just wanted to say that a few days ago I received an email on an Afghani-American writter in the email he said that we should not go to war because many innocent people will die in Afghanistan. Ok that's true, but atleast those people can prep themselves for a war unlike the people in the WTC and the hijacked planes that were going about their daily business and out of now where a bunch of cowards decide to take out this massive attack, and to see those people in Afghanistan cheering that made it worse for me.
I think that we should take action because there is no way that that Osama Bin Laden is going to get away with this, I personally would love to see him and his little army blown away along with all those people that cheered the day of the attack. I know that they will get a very nasty wake up call. There is no way we will stand for this.. God Bless America. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims families and friends.

The American government had years to prepare for this war.

After all the US interference and  murders in Iran, Iraq, Lebannon, Palestine, and countless other Arab nations (all in the name of oil), the government knew that the extremist factions of Arabs would want to get a little revenge on America.

The 6,400 plus people who died were just causalties of war.  War was declared on the USA, and guess who is responding?  The lady Liberty will fall at the hands of the terrorists...she is doing so now as I type this.  The ever present realization that you could be enjoying a baseball game along with 50,000 other fans, munching on a hotdog...
when...oh my God...the hotdogs are all poisoned!  Everyone starts gagging, foaming at the mouth and dying!

Or, you're at the game and a strange sensations comes over you and the other 49,999 people all at the same time...on my God...they have released some kind of nerve gas or something in the air.

Yes lady Liberty is coming down America, she has always been the real target.

Wake up, read the US history of war on other nations, and realize that this was inevitable and it is just the beginning.

Observer is so filled with the propaganda of hate that even 6000+ souls are not enough to satisfy his bloodlust.  To set the record straight and to stem some of this hatred and evil, know that the U.S. government, when it intervenes, does so for the cause of freedom and peace. Also, know that it attacks armies and not people, and that serious penalties await those who kill innocent civilians, even unintentionally.

I know that our President has called the attack on the WTC an act of war, but I would beg to differ.  It is a mass murder inflicted on innocent people from a number of countries. None of these people were waging war and none danced in the streets when they heard of war, of famine, of disease overseas.  Many, if not all, did what they could to help relieve the suffering in the world. But now the forces of hate, with which Observer has cast his lot, have made them six thousand martyrs for Love.

I agree with u Love. Observer is just an ignorant person who from what I read has no heart. I agree those people dancing in the streets when they heard of the tragedy that to me is disguting. I trust our president very much and I know that justice will be done. Thank you for your reply.

There you go, 2 high and mighty Americans judging me...just as they judge others of a different race, color, creed. Just as their government whom they elect, secretly kill maim and murder millions of people world wide...yet CNN somehow does not cover this news 24hrs a day.

Just to set the record straight: I feel for every soul who is going about their business everyday in ANY country, and BAMMM!!! out of nowhere they are maimed or killed by a foreign aggressor.

If anything I am not in the least bit ignorant on America's  history of interference in other countries. Why should my sympathy for innocent lives only stop or start with the victims of the WTC or Pentagon jet bombings?  Do you have sympathy for ordinary Arab women and children in Iraq whom your government has bombed daily for the last 11 years?  Do you even know what is going on you self righteous ignorants?  You were probably crocheting a centerpeice, when in your ignorance of you governments terrorism on other countries you heard the news of 9/11.

None of you have stopped to think of the question "Why did this happen?"

Instead you believe the lies of your government Bushman as he declares..."this is an act of war!"..."there is no question...we are going to war..."

Does it make sense that 15+ Arab terrorists would give up their lives, souls, and the souls of other people - just to go to their heaven with Allah?

That is what the US government would like you to believe.  The dust had not settled on the WTC yet when Bushman told all of you that your sons, daugthers, brothers, husbands, would have to go to war against the "terrorists". And yes, Dick was at the Bush when the Colin told you all that there would be American lives lost in the battle against terrorism.  Most Arabs living in Middle East countries where the USA has run interference - HATE YOU!!!!! Plain and simple.

Your own American Timothy McVeigh gave up his life and never repented for his own beliefs that the US government murders innocent civilians in other countries as part of its military might.  He saw this crap with his own eyes.

There is no question (as Bushman would say) that McVeigh- minded Americans helped these Arabs to carry out their plan.  Your government knows this already, that is why they are going to implement "civilian limitations".

If you don't believe what you read, just wait and see.

I don't hate, I just am NOT AFRAID to speak the truth.

Ok observer you are right many innocent people died at WTC, but the people who carried out the attacks are not going to heaven. Atleast in my eyes they are not. I do feel for any innocent person that dies when they are bombed, I know that there are people eveywhere that don't agree with the recent occurrences. Those people I do feel for. Just like here many people are being looked at different because in one example they are muslim or Indian, or Pakistani, and that to me is very very wrong. Also rememeber many innocent people died on Sept.11 too.

Observer seems intent on blaming the victim, creating lies to justify the actions of what must be his cohorts.

To deal with just one of his lies:  civilian restrictions are necessary since other terrorists may still be in the country.  At the moment, we are not concerned with the McVeigh/NRA types because they seem uninterested in foreign affairs.

Or another: The Gulf War ended some 8, 9 years ago, after which we had a very pro-Arab president.  Are you saying that it somehow escaped everybody's notice that Clinton was bombing Iraqi villages?  Nonsense.

Maybe we should call this fellow Hallucinator.

Observer may paint himself as the high-and-mighty truth-bearer within this discussion, but he does not seem to realise that much of what he says is factually incorrect.

Of course America has to protect its oil interests in the Middle East - to threaten the resources of a state is to threaten national security - yet until not long before it turned on Kuwait, Iraq was a relatively friendly state. Furthermore, I don't know wherefrom he gets his mindless assertion that 'most people in the Middle East hate the US'; with an attitude like that it seems that it is he who is spreading the kind of racist, inflammatory views that he claims to oppose. In fact the vast majority of the Middle East is friendly - look at the likes of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bahrain and the Emirates. They oppose the warmongering machinations of the likes of the Taliban and Saddam Hussein at least as bitterly as we in the UK and you in the US.

Furthermore, it is somewhat hypocritical of him to claim that we do not stop to ask why this happened, because it seems that he singularly fails to grasp the reality himself. Bin Laden is only in Afghanistan because he was thrown out of Saudi Arabia for opposing its pro-Western policies, and had been trying to subvert the state ever since in order to install more of a hard-line regime. It is ignorant to assume that he is simply wanting to take revenge upon the US for its treatment of the Middle East in the past; he has political ambitions of his own, particularly a unified, trans-Middle Eastern Islamic state ruled along the same authoritarian lines as Afghanistan.

I am also given to wonder what the Observer thinks to civilian rights in Afghanistan. What would he say to the veiled woman met in the street of Kabul by a reporter for your Newsweek magazine, who appealed, "Sir, I am not a beggar. I was a schoolteacher. I need money for bread." Does he feel that her support for the Taliban - before whose rise to power she was able to work freely - is as unshaking as his seems to be?

Ladies and gentlemen, our opposition to the likes of the Observer must not be in the manner of Macbeth's tale told by an idiot - full of sound and fury, signifying nothing - but rather it must meet his pretence of rationality with true rationality. I doubt we can persuade him and others to see the error of their ways, but we can, at least, prevent others from being enticed by his lies.
