Thank
you to the many contributors
Thank you to all of you for sending in the poems, the support links, and
the pictures. We are trying our best to get everything posted from all
positive contributions. So, if you don't see your poem or picture up immediately,
have no worries, we are trying very hard to get to all of the mail. Just
to let everyone out there know how much you have helped, we are averaging
over 400 e-mails per day of poems, kind words, and praise. We have gotten
mail as far away as Japan, China, France, Italy, and the Netherlands,
in as many languages also! I also know there has been some confusion as
far as what ribbons people should be wearing. I have heard from various
sources, plain blue ribbons or red, white, and blue ribbons. Please also
show your support by tying a yellow ribbon around your tree, or flying
Old Glory for the next 30 days!

We
will soon be accepting donations to benefit the victims of the tragedy
Thank you all for your support. We have been working hard on our end here
for the good of all involved. By mid-week, we will be set up with PayPal
to establish a memorial fund to benefit the victims of Tuesday's tragic
events. This will not only benefit the World Trade Center victims, but
the victims of The Pentagon, and the loss in Pennsylvania.

Presidential
Radio Address
With a country that has his support and a Congress that is backing him,
we have a strong President who addressed the nation only minutes ago Quoting
from his address, "A
terrorist attack designed to tear us apart has instead bound us together
as a nation..." Please read the whole address here
on whitehouse.gov
We
ask for you help too
With all that we have put together here, and all the visitors that have
come, not everyone has seen the site yet. If everyone has a moment, please
send a short note to YAHOO, telling them you have found us. If we get
listed within their pages, we will have more people visiting, learning,
and contributing to this Memorial Site. Write them now at: full_coverage
UPDATE:
YAHOO's has now added us to their Memorial
Listing that is linked off their main page.

the Moderators of the site

We would like feedback from the users of this site about establishing
a fund for the victims' families. Being many of the firms in the building
were financial firms typically employing young people, these victims surviving
families may be facing financial hardships in the future. We look for
the opinions of the site users in this serious matter
From

Poetry
Submission of the Day.
Thank you to all that have written with your poems, your prayers and
your words of hope. It not only means a lot to us, it means a lot to all
of you as well. As of this evening, we are going to establish a poem of
the day.
This
submission is from Bob Mitchell in the UK,
If
we could take away the pain, we would
If we could promise that only happy memories would remain, we would
But we have no such power and can make no such promise
But what we can offer is the certainty that we are here if America needs
us.
It
is the wonderful submissions like this one above, that is helping in everyone
get through this. As many have said, this is not a disaster for America,
this is a disaster for the world.

President
Proclaims National Day of Prayer and Remembrance
The United States President, George W. Bush proclaims Friday, September
14, 2001, as a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims
of the Terrorist Attacks. Part of the statement issued on the White House
website,
".
I ask that the people of the United States and places of worship mark
this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance with noontime memorial services,
the ringing of bells at that hour, and evening candlelight remembrance
vigils. I encourage employers to permit their workers time off during
the lunch hour to attend the noontime services to pray for our land. I
invite the people of the world who share our grief to join us in these
solemn observances." read
the whole statement now.
Friday
Night at 7:00 p.m. step out of your door, stop your car, or step out of
your establishment and light a candle. We will show the world that Americans
are strong and united together against terrorism. Please pass this to
everyone on your e-mail list. We need to reach everyone across the United

We
also ask all individuals to wear blue ribbons in memory of this tragedy,

Little
Notes

and earth's path no more be trod, May their names, in gold be

It
is with deep regret that
we have created this site. Today, is quite possibly the single greatest
disaster in modern history with the loss of people at the WTC, as
well as the towers themselves. It is unknown as to what the loss
count may be.
As
we continue to work here, we will keep you posted on more info.
As there are many news sites covering this event, we will provide
the following links. We do not guarantee information provided,
however these are reputable sources worldwide.
